The Sentier Adrien Ries takes you through the six municipalities of the "Nordstad", partly along the Sûre, partly through enchanted forests, and to impressive views. It was named after the luxemburgish lawyer, economy expert and author Adrien Ries (1933 - 1991), who created the term "Nordstad" for the urban settlement area Diekirch/Ettelbruck. He was a passionate hiker who walked thousands of kilometres through Luxembourg and all over Europe. The Sentier Adrien Ries is divided into three circular hiking trails.
